Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Career Services is the place to go for all of your career-related needs. We are dedicated to assisting our students and alumni in exploring career opportunities and development to empower them to achieve their career goals. Who is eligible for services provided by the Career Services department?
The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Career Services center serves currently enrolled students and eligible alumni. Eligible alumni may utilize all services except the Student Employment Service (JLD Program). Non-students are welcome to use the Career Services resource on our web site as a community service, however, non-students and/or ineligible alumni can not participate in on-campus interviewing, resume referral service, Student Employment Service (JLD Program), schedule guidance or advising appointments.
I want to apply for a job working on campus – how do I do that?
First, all interested students and eligible alumni should register with our department through the HireAnIslander Database. This involves going through a registration/profile-creation process, uploading a resume, and requesting activation by the Career Services staff. If you have any questions regarding this process, feel free to contact our offices at 361-825-2628 or check out our online tutorials and walk-thru’s for a guided step-by-step tour.
What is the HireAnIslander database? What can it do for me?
The HireAnIslander Database is our 24/7 job database. It catalogs on- and off-campus part-time jobs, internships, and full-time professional jobs. Registration is free and easy and all students and/or eligible alumni MUST complete the registration process before utilizing any of the Career Services resources. Where can I go to get help with my resume?
Career Services is the ultimate source for resume help and guidance. In addition to the numerous on line resources, our staff is also available for personal, one-on-one resume reviews. Interested students and/or alumni must be eligible for our services and have completed registration on the HireAnIslander Database before making the appointment.
How do I stay on top of all the new developments at Career Services?
Staying connected with Career Services allows TAMU-CC students to stay on top of all of the new and exciting career events and opportunities on campus. Throughout the year, Career Services hosts numerous career fairs and business-related events designed to give Islanders first-hand-experience and employment opportunities.
